No limit texas holdem
It thrills and excites and you never have enough. What is it? Right, No-Limit Texas Hold’em.
You are an advanced and ardent gambler, and feel that low limits and play money are no longer give you enough drive and are just not what you are looking for? No-Limit Texas Hold’em will surely provide with you with a way out. It adds special character and a certain special feel to the game, and you do not have to learn new rules, as this is nothing but a variation of the good old poker game. Nearly all the rules that apply to limit Texas Hold’em are also valid for its No-Limit variation.
What you are surely aware of is that there are three main types of Texas Hold’em: Limit, Pot limit and No-Limit. The difference here lies in how the betting amount is determined. In case with Limit Texas Hold’em you cannot bet more than a particular sum, which is a limitation, thus the name of this game variation. Pot Limit Texas Hold’em limits the maximum size of bet to the size of the pot. However, in No-Limit games the size of the bet seems to be limited only by your own desire and financial status. However, online poker rooms do set certain limitations as to the maximum buy-in amounts to ensure that the players feel competitive and do not have to play against others with thousands in chips in hand.
To consider the main No-Limit Texas Hold’em peculiarities, it is true to say that the number of raises in any betting round is not limited. Raise as many times as you want. Secondly, all raises must be equal to or even greater than the previous raise or bet of the game. The following example can serve as an illustration of this point. If the first player has just bet 100 (in chips) and you wish to raise, you cannot raise less than 100, while the total sum of your bet will total 200 in chips.
Another peculiarity of No-Limit Texas Hold’em is extensive use of bluffing. Needless to say, we all want to win and, thus, bluff. Still, don’t forget to take the showdown percentage into account, so as not to get caught red-handed.
Good luck, as that is something that we all really need at a No-Limit Texas Hold’em table. See you there.
